Terms & Conditions
General
Before registering for this event, you should be fit to participate, seeking medical advice if appropriate. Your safety is of paramount importance to us. Please also ensure that you follow all safety instructions and training procedures when participating in the event.
Princess Alice Hospice accept no liability whatsoever to participants or spectators in respect of any loss, damage or personal injury which may be sustained in the course of your participation. Liability cannot be accepted for any damage, injury or loss arising from the negligence of participants (whether through failure to observe the rules or otherwise).
Registration fee
Registration fees are non-refundable. However, if an event has to be postponed or cancelled, we would offer those who have registered either a suitable alternative date (subject to availability), a transfer to a suitable alternative Princess Alice Hospice fundraising event (subject to availability), or a refund if this is requested.
Age
Minimum ages are specified for some events. These assume an average level of competence and maturity. However all participants under 16 require parental consent and it is for parents to decide if the event is appropriate for their child, seeking additional information, if necessary.
Please note, adults take full responsibility for under 16s in their care, and all participants take part at their own risk. Princess Alice Hospice is not responsible for checking that a child has permission to participate in the event. Under 16s should be accompanied by adults.
Fundraising or Donating
We ask all participants to either raise sponsorship or make a donation to the Hospice. We will set minimum sponsorship amounts and dates by which they should be achieved, to ensure the Hospice never subsidises a participant to raise funds for the Hospice. If you are taking part in the event as a team then Team Leaders are responsible for their team’s fundraising target.
The registration fee covers the cost of putting on the event and none of this money is classed as a donation. This is why we ask supporters who are signing up to a fundraising event to fundraise on top of paying the registration fee.
Collecting and submitting sponsorship
We advise that where possible, the easiest, least time consuming way to fundraise is via JustGiving, we have some great fundraising tips. It is also more cost effective for us, meaning as much money as possible goes towards providing care to our patients.
Alternatively, you can pay any sponsorship money collected in person online by following these steps:
1. press the single donation button
2. enter in the amount of sponsorship
3. then select the option - a collection – other people’s money
4. be sure to reference Santa Fun Run
or if easier, you can do this by submitting your sponsorship money with your money return form.
Photography and filming
Photography and filming may take place at this event. Please inform a member of staff on the day of the event if you do not wish to feature. Green stickers will be available for you to add to your Suit so that photographers know not to take your photo on the day, however, you may appear in group shots.
